Jetzt wird sich zeigen, ob den Stadtpolitikern von SPD und CDU
das Andenken an und die Dankbarkeit gegenüber den ehemaligen Vorreitern für die deutsche Wiedervereinigung noch etwas Wert sind.
Unter vielen anderen spendeten Richard v. Weizsäcker, Johannes Rau und Franz Josef Strauß für den Nachbau als klingendes Mahnzeichen für die Wiedervereinigung.
