Wie die PNN berichtete, eröffnet das geplante Ikea-Planungsstudio in der Brandenburger Straße
am 27. Oktober seine Pforten.
Dazu der Vorsitzende der AfD-Stadtfraktion:
„Die Eröffnung des Ikea-Standortes ist eine große Chance für den Innenstadteinzelhandel.
Es ist zu wünschen, dass von diesem neuen Kundenmagnet auch die restlichen Einzelhändler und Gastronomiebetriebe profitieren.
Allerdings sind dafür auch Parkplätze in unmittelbarer Nähe nötig.
Die derzeitigen Parklets, die den Restaurants und Bars in der Dortu- und der Lindenstraße gewährt wurden, um einen gewissen wirtschaftlichen Ausgleich für die Corona-Eindämmungsmaßnahmen zu ermöglichen, sollten nun wieder in Parkplätze rückverwandelt werden – die Freiluftsaison ist zu Ende.
Nur mit öffentlichem Nahverkehr werden die Ikea-Kunden nicht in die Innenstadt kommen.“
